Writer-Director Viral Shah is all set to come up with a new movie which is titled ‘Midnights With Menka‘ starring Gujarati Superstar Malhar Thakar, Esha Kansara, Hardik Sangani and Vinita Mahesh. The film has Cameos by One of the well known Gujarati film director Dhwani Gautam and Deeksha Joshi Yesteryear’s one and only Superstar of Gujarati Industry, Naresh Kanodia is playing very pivotal role as himself in the film . Viral says that it is one of its kind movie which is a fictitious biopic of a real star as it Chroniclizes the Life of Malhar-the star who is playing himself . Given the universal appeal of the content, people who don’t understand Gujarati too will be able to connect with the movie.
Similarly to Narcos, the Anglo-Spanish Drama which is widely popular in India and the Rest of the world, Viral has assured viewers will be able to connect with story, drama, humour and emotions of the film and get to know what’s happening throughout in the movie even if they do not understand Gujarati.
Midnights with Menka is one of the biggest releases in Gujarat and the budget is approximately between 4.5 to 5 crore which is one of the most expensive Gujarati films ever made. The Film boasts of a star studded starcast cast comprising of Current Gujarai Sensation Malhar along with evergreen Superstar of Gujarati Cinema Naresh kanodia all playing themselves. The film will also be deriving entertainment through pop culture references visible in the Trailer such as Game of thrones, Yashrraj Films, Siddharth Varun Alia, Chello Diwas etc.
‘Midnights with Menka‘ releases on December 7. Viral Shah declined to comment on the planned remake of the film as speculations grow of a Hindi and a Tamil remake of the same.
