Huawei launched its new budget range smartphone silently under Huawei Y series, called Huawei Y5 Prime 2018. This is not a first time that the company unveiled Huawei Y series smartphone quietly. The phone has similar specs as the Honor Play 7 which launch recently. The company listed the phone on its official website and revealed all specs details. There are two variants listed, one DRA-L02 model number and DRA-L22 model number.

Huawei mid-range smartphone features a 5.45-inch display that supports 720 x 1440 pixels of resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The body dimensions of the Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 are 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 142 grams. I powered by Quad-core CPU under the hood which clocks at 1.5 GHz along with unknown Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The phone expected to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset on board. There is 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage available along with micro SD card slot.

Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 comes with the 13-megapixel camera on the back side and 5-megapixel camera on the front side for selfies and video calls. Later, the front camera will support face unlock feature, but the feature will come with a software update. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box along with EMUI 8.1 running on top. the phone is packed with 3,020 mAh capacity battery inside the body.  The Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 phone has Power Saving 6.0 technology feature. With the help of it, the phone will deliver up to 62 hours of continuous music playback and p to 13 hours of video playback on a single charge.
In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB port, 3.5mm audio jack port and more. There will be two model available in the market, one with single SIM DRA-L02 and another dual SIM DRA-L22 connectivity. It will available in Black, Blue, and Gold color option. There is no info about the pricing and availability of the Huawei Y5 Prime 2018.

last month, Huawei Honor 7A and Honor 7C featured with Face Unlock technology feature and the company claims they will recognise users face faster than the iPhone X
